Zhambyl region plans to launch 19 new enterprises by end of 2024

Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Zhambyl region governor Yerbol Karashukeyev who presented a report on the socio-economic development of the region. It is planned to launch 19 new enterprises by yearend. Overall, the region’s investment portfolio includes 70 projects worth 2.5 trillion tenge until 2027. In the first half of 2024 alone, over 196 billion tenge was attracted to the region. The Head of State was also briefed on the dynamic growth in construction, manufacturing, and the agricultural sector.

«I presented a report on the socio-economic development of the Zhambyl region, where economic growth was achieved during the first half of 2024. Stable growth is being observed in agriculture, one of the priority sectors of the region’s economy. Our farmers have already begun harvesting, with the gross yield of major crops expected to reach 2.1 million tonnes. During the reporting period, the construction sector in the region saw a growth of 12.3 percent. I also reported on the development of social infrastructure. The Head of State gave a number of instructions aimed at further socio-economic development of the regions and ensuring income growth for the population,» Karashukeyev said.
