Kazakhstan has increased investments in health and social services. Capital investments have amounted to almost 106 billion tenge over eight months, the Finprom.kz reports. This is 6.5 percent more in monetary terms compared to the previous year, when the investments volume in the sector made up 99.5 billion tenge. Astana ranks first in investments flows, accounting for 21 billion or around 20 percent of the total investment in the country. The capital is followed by the Zhambyl and East Kazakhstan regions, where the investment volume reached slightly more than 11 billion. The total rate of the top three regions comprises over 41 percent of investments in the country. More than a third of investments in the health and social services sector were provided by local budgets.
