Kazakh residents no longer need to take a PCR test when entering Turkey. In order to cross the border they only need to provide an official certificate stating that they have recovered from coronavirus within six months or have been fully vaccinated no less than two weeks prior. This was reported in Turkish Interior Ministry. Those who do not have these documents must take a PCR test within 72 hours or rapid COVID-19 antigen test taken no more than 48 hours before the arrival.
“Turkey has changed entry rules for foreign nationals from June 1 due to the stabilization of the situation with coronavirus. Our citizens may not provide a PCR test if they have been vaccinated at least 14 days before entering the country or have recovered from coronavirus within six months. In this case, you should be aware that our compatriots must provide a supporting document, that is, a medical certificate or vaccination certificate. It should be noted that rules often change during the pandemic. Therefore, we ask our citizens to familiarize themselves with the rules before leaving for the country of destination,” said Bauyrzhan Alzhanov, Consul at the Kazakh Embassy in Turkey.
