The FAIR Energy Insurance and Risk Management Forum was held
in the capital of Uzbekistan, bringing together over 100 representatives of
leading insurance and brokerage companies from more than 20 countries, along
with 50 international organizations. The forum provided a platform for experts
to exchange best practices and explore sustainable solutions for the industry.
It also fostered international cooperation with investment institutions from the
Middle East, Asia, and Europe. Experts emphasized that, at present, the energy
sector is a cornerstone of global economic development, encompassing
exploration, production, transportation, storage, and distribution of various
energy sources. Such a broad scope involves significant risks, making insurance
a vital tool in ensuring the sector’s resilience. According to experts, this
topic is particularly relevant for Central Asia, where the energy industry is
undergoing rapid development.
«This event is especially important not only for us but also
for FAIR, as it focuses on the latest developments and key issues in insurance
and risk management within the energy sector. We are pleased to host them in
Uzbekistan, particularly as many projects—especially investment projects in the
energy sector—are currently being implemented in the country, driven by rapid
economic growth and significant investment inflows,» said Oybek Khalilov,
Chairman of the Association of Professional Participants of the Insurance
Market, Uzbekistan.
«We have been cooperating with Uzbekistan and its insurance
market for a long time, maintaining a close and productive relationship. This
event provides an opportunity to meet all our key partners on one platform to
discuss current issues, future projects, and the collaboration between our
companies and countries. We are currently facing numerous opportunities,» said Sergey
Gavrilov, Deputy CEO of an insurance company in Kazakhstan.
