In Budapest, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
held talks with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, prioritizing bilateral
trade, economic and investment cooperation. In turn, Orban noted the positive
dynamics of Kazakh-Hungarian relations, especially in the economic sector. Last
year, the volume of mutual trade between the countries reached nearly $200
million, and in the first quarter of this year, trade turnover grew by 37%.
Currently, the parties are implementing 16 projects worth $700 million in
mechanical engineering, agriculture, and logistics. During the meeting, Tokayev
reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to constructive dialogue in all priority
areas of the Organization of Turkic States.
