Summer career guidance camps for school students have been opened
in the Abai region. The project is being implemented at 10 local vocational
education institutions, with plans to reach around 600 teenagers this year. Participants
will be introduced to various professions and specialties in fields such as
ecology, IT, agriculture, basic accounting, the arts, and manufacturing.
«My friends told me about this camp, and I joined on Monday.
I’ve made new friends, and we’re having a great time together. We play
different games and even had a relay race. Yesterday, we learned how to use a
sewing machine. Today, we made a cocktail and pizza. I found it all really
interesting,» shared school student Adina Berikkeldi.
«The children are showing great interest in the camp. Every
day, they come eager for new experiences and return home in a great mood. Parents
are very pleased as well. We receive calls daily asking whether the camp will
run again next year. And it’s no surprise - instead of spending all day on
their phones, children are making new friends here and developing new skills,» said
camp director Sholpan Atantayeva.
