A new sports complex will be built in the
Almaty region. The project is being implemented using returned assets. The
government will allocate 1.1 billion tenge for its construction. The facility
will be designed for competitions and general fitness training sessions. The
building will host classes in boxing, wrestling, and other sports. Notably, on
the instructions of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, funds from the Special
State Fund are being directed towards the construction of socially significant
facilities across the country’s regions. Over 50 billion tenge has been
allocated for these purposes. These include four schools, one of which is a
music school, sports and multifunctional hospital complexes, as well as a
dormitory and two kindergartens. Additionally, the construction of several
social infrastructure facilities is underway in the cities of Arkalyk, Astana,
and Almaty. A total of 90 sports and health centers were built in Kazakhstan
last year, mostly in rural areas. Furthermore, the government is implementing a
program for the large-scale inventory of sports infrastructure by the end of
2025. As part of this program, 113 new facilities will be built, and 26
existing sports institutions will undergo reconstruction.
