South Korea hosts several exhibitions of Kazakh artists’ works

Paintings of artists from Kazakhstan were presented at several exhibitions in South Korea. For example, the 10th vernissage of arts in the city of Seongnam showcased the works of Victor Moon and Yevgeniy Kim.

“The paintings are wonderful and in our opinion, there is the depth and truth, it also feels like the traditions of the two countries are similar. I would like famous artists from Seongnam to visit Kazakhstan and establish a cultural exchange,” said Sin Mi-Sun, chairperson of 2021 Seongnam Art Festival.

“Kazakh culture is deep and diverse, therefore, I am very glad that I got a chance to acquaint Koreans with the works of Kazakh artists. Their paintings are realistic, and emotions are well conveyed,” shared Jack Bae, co-organizer of the exhibition.

Also, the paintings “Covid” and “Confrontation” by Marzhan Bakytbekova and the work “Berkutchi” by Marua Baitursynova were presented during another exhibition of artists from Central Asia.

“In fact, South Korea and Kazakhstan have many similar things. The color scheme of Kazakh artists including five colors was very popular in Korea for conveying traditional patterns,” said Son Jae Ho, co-organizer of the exhibition.
