The share of small and medium-sized businesses in Astana’s gross regional product may reach 60 percent in 2025, the Department of Economics and Budget Planning of the capital reported. The GRP of Astana city is also expected to grow by 4.5-5.5 percent in the next two years and total about 12 trillion tenge in 2025. Last year, it comprised nearly 8.5 trillion tenge. In 2023, the budget incomes are expected to make up over 527 billion tenge through tax and non-tax revenues, as well as sale proceeds of fixed assets. The forecast of socio-economic development of the country for 2023-2027 was approved at the Government’s meeting on August 27. The baseline scenario provides for an average annual GDP growth of 3.9 percent in the mentioned period, including 4 percent in 2023 and 4.2 percent in 2027.
