Mandatory masks, use of hand sanitizers and social distancing - such requirements are made on voters on the day of the upcoming elections. Chairperson of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee Aizhan Yesmagambetova said that the risk of coronavirus infection is still high, so it is necessary to carry out a non-contact measurement of body temperature indoors, as well as regulate the flow of people and use sanitizers. In addition, there should be isolation wards at the sites in case a patient with suspected COVID-19, or any person with a fever, is identified.
200 organizations join charter on election observation
In the meantime, all observers in Kazakhstan were called upon to accede to the Charter on Impartial Election Observation. The authors said that the document is based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Pact, the OSCE principles and the Constitution of the country. 200 organizations, including 30,000 observers, have already joined the charter.
