Kazakh COVID-19 vaccine is now also available in Almaty shopping and entertainment centers. The vaccination centers were operating there before, but until now they were administering only the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. Doctors say that there are many people wanting to get vaccinated with QazVac. Recently, the city received 6,000 doses of this vaccine.
“We check all Almaty residents who want to get vaccinated through the database, we look at the ID and whether a person is attached to the egov. There are no problems so far. We can also vaccinate foreigners if they have a residence permit and are taxpayers. Also, we can administer the vaccine to those who live in Almaty region, but work in Almaty city,” said Gulzat Baizakhova, spokesperson of the city polyclinic no. 5.
