Today, Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with the country’s Commissioner for Children’s Rights
Dinara Zakiyeva, who reported on the work carried out over the past year. Thus,
practical implementation of norms outlined in the newly effective Law on Women’s
Rights and Children’s Safety is underway. In particular, the Single contact
center 111 is operational, schools are implementing the KiVa antibullying
program, and safety lessons will be introduced in September. Following the
report, the Head of State instructed to closely monitor the prevention of child
injuries and accidents. The Commissioner was also tasked to coordinate efforts
between teachers and parents to implement the Unified Education Program, which
aims to instill human and national values and foster creative potential in the
younger generation.
«Joint work with the Kazakh Ministry of
Education has been carried out to implement the Unified Education Program in
schools across the country. Efforts are also being made to strengthen
guardianship and trusteeship agencies. We are collaborating with the government to increase the number of staff
in the service,» said Zakiyeva.
