A pre-premiere screening of a documentary about the First President of Kazakhstan took place in Moscow. The film “Qazaq History of the Golden Man” is based on an interview with Nursultan Nazarbayev, which he gave to the famous American film director Oliver Stone. The documentary tells about the life of the First President of Kazakhstan and the establishment of the country's independence, as well as how the important political decisions were taken, including the formation of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the renunciation of nuclear weapons and other historical events. The shooting of the film began back in 2019. It took the crew two years to complete the project. According to the producers, the documentary will be presented at the film festival in Rome. They also plan to present the film at a special screening in Cannes.
“I didn't know much about the history of Kazakhstan, and it was very interesting for me to learn and even look at some events that I remember as a child, such as the August Coup and other events in the Soviet Union, from the perspective of another country,” said Pavel Solodovnikov, spectator.
