Kazakh citizens are preparing for one of the main Muslim holidays Eid al-Adha. Tomorrow, which is the first day of the holiday, all the mosques in the country will hold Eid prayers in the morning, followed by the ritual animal sacrifices. This year they will be organized both in the traditional and online formats. A special website has been launched for this purpose. For those Muslims who still prefer the traditional way of animal sacrifice, special places to do that are allocated. There are seven of such places in the capital. They will work from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. All the measures of sanitary requirements are taken into account, Veterinarians will be on duty there too. This year Eid al-Adha falls on July 9, 10 and 11.
“The volunteers from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan will distribute all the sacrificial meat among those in need. During the Eid al-Adha holidays, citizens can learn all the necessary information on the places where animal sacrifice rituals can be performed and other relevant issues by calling the 24-hour service 109,” said Baurzhan Dikhanbayev, spokesperson for the Department of Religious Affairs of Nur-Sultan city.
