Three political parties—Aq Jol, the Nationwide Social Democratic Party, and Respublica—have registered their candidate lists for the Kurultai elections. Women, young people, and persons with disabilities make up more than half of Respublica’s candidate list. All candidates have been cleared by the Central Election Commission (CEC) to participate in the elections, as they meet the requirements of the Constitution and electoral legislation.
«The average age of the candidates is 40.9. The list includes 44 men and 31 women, while candidates under the age of 35 account for 12%. The youngest candidate is 27 years old and the oldest is 55. Entrepreneurs make up the majority of the party list, representing 69.3%,» said Olzhas Kuspekov, Deputy Chairman of the Respublica Party.
The Nationwide Social Democratic Party’s candidate list includes 14 women, while more than 30% of those on the list are young people and persons with disabilities.
«This is a very important platform and a great responsibility. The party is building a team of experienced members who understand the work, have been involved in our activities, have worked with us for a long time, and share our values and goals,» said Askhat Rakhimzhanov, Chairman of the Nationwide Social Democratic Party.
Aq Jol has nominated 63 candidates, with women, young people, and persons with disabilities accounting for 22 of them. All three political parties are also exempt from paying the election deposit after surpassing the five-percent threshold in the previous Mazhilis elections.

include entrepreneurs and deputies of regional, district, and city maslikhats.
All six of our deputies from the eighth convocation have been included in the
list,» said Daniya Yespayeva, Chairwoman of the Aq
Jol Democratic Party.
