Nearly 12 billion tenge will be required to purchase, repair and rent administrative buildings in three new regions. In particular, 3.5 billion for Almaty region, 7.6 billion for Ulytau region, and 839 million tenge for Abai region, Kazakh Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov said. According to him, these are still provisional figures. He also highlighted that when determining the boundaries of the new regions, the opinion of local residents, the economic and infrastructural capacity of the region, the population and other criteria were taken into account.
“The work is currently being carried out to establish the staffing for the central state bodies with territorial subdivisions in the newly created regions. After the establishment of state bodies of these newly created regions, work will begin there to divide the budget and communal property between these regions. The total provisional amount of the needs is about 12 billion tenge. The issue of allocation of budgetary funds will be considered in the manner determined by the budgetary legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” said Kazakh Minister of National Economy Alibek Kuantyrov.
