Over 50 agricultural investment
projects worth more than 30 billion tenge have been implemented in Kazakhstan
since the start of 2024. Most enterprises, including facilities for milk and
vegetable processing, poultry farms, storage units, and greenhouse complexes,
have been launched in the Turkistan region. In the Abai region, projects are
underway to enhance livestock genetics and produce crude sunflower oil and
press cake. Overall, more than 300 agricultural projects totaling 1.5 billion
tenge are planned to be brought into operation this year.
«Farmers in the Akmola region
utilized state support measures in projects aimed at expanding dairy farms and
processing crop and livestock products. Specifically, facilities for producing
compound feed, flour, and frozen semi-finished poultry meat products have been
established, with a total capacity of 4,100 tonnes per year. In the Zhambyl
region, a hatchery with a capacity of 30 million eggs has been put into
operation, and three farms have installed irrigation equipment along with
necessary infrastructure. In the Aktobe region, a greenhouse with a capacity of
four tonnes of vegetables per year was built as part of the Auyl Amanaty
project. Furthermore, a breeding facility for 100 head of cattle has been put
into operation,» said Talgat Bakenov, Head of the Investment Policy Department at the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.
