Over 50 agricultural investment projects implemented in Kazakhstan since start of 2024

Over 50 agricultural investment projects worth more than 30 billion tenge have been implemented in Kazakhstan since the start of 2024. Most enterprises, including facilities for milk and vegetable processing, poultry farms, storage units, and greenhouse complexes, have been launched in the Turkistan region. In the Abai region, projects are underway to enhance livestock genetics and produce crude sunflower oil and press cake. Overall, more than 300 agricultural projects totaling 1.5 billion tenge are planned to be brought into operation this year.

«Farmers in the Akmola region utilized state support measures in projects aimed at expanding dairy farms and processing crop and livestock products. Specifically, facilities for producing compound feed, flour, and frozen semi-finished poultry meat products have been established, with a total capacity of 4,100 tonnes per year. In the Zhambyl region, a hatchery with a capacity of 30 million eggs has been put into operation, and three farms have installed irrigation equipment along with necessary infrastructure. In the Aktobe region, a greenhouse with a capacity of four tonnes of vegetables per year was built as part of the Auyl Amanaty project. Furthermore, a breeding facility for 100 head of cattle has been put into operation,» said Talgat Bakenov, Head of the Investment Policy Department at the Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture.
