More than $12 billion in
investments have been attracted through the Astana International Financial
Centre (AIFC). The total number of financial center participants reached nearly
3,000 following the accession of over 500 companies in the first half of 2024.
This was reported today by AIFC Governor Renat Bekturov to President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. According to Bekturov, participants have contributed about
30 billion tenge to the national budget in the past six months and 115 billion
tenge since the AIFC’s inception. The Head of State was also briefed on the
preparations for Astana Finance Days, scheduled to take place on September 5-6.
He underlined the need to enhance the work of all government agencies and
financial institutions to attract investment into Kazakhstan’s economy through
the active use of the AIFC infrastructure.
