New Kazakh films presented at Eurasian film market in Almaty

The first international Eurasian Film Market held in Almaty allowed Kazakh film industry representatives to promote domestic film products to the regional market, present new projects, talk about opportunities for filmmakers and, of course, establish business contacts. The event brought together 250 producers, distributors as well as representatives of streaming platforms and film companies from the CIS countries and Europe. The new platform allowed the participants to get acquainted with Kazakh works, including “Bauryna Salu” (Adoption) by Askhat Kuchinchirekov, the action movie “Berkut” (Eagle) by Daniyar Ibragimov, “Rhinoceros” by Adilkhan Yerzhanov and the musical “Soldier of Love” based on the songs of the A-Studio music band and directed by Farkhat Sharipov. It should be noted that other Central Asian studios also presented their multi-genre films. Overall, the program featured more than 100 movies produced in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
