New children's books presented as part of Library Night in Astana

The large-scale event Library Night was held in Astana, it brought together contemporary writers, poets, illustrators, as well as fans of their works, young readers. The last presentation was a book of poems by Serikbol Hassan ‘Kushtі bala’. It includes the works written by the poet over the past five years. The poems are dedicated to such topics as education, customs, and family values. 3,000 copies of the book will be distributed among the country’s children’s libraries. Earlier, the works ‘Akesinin kyzy’ and ‘Kobelek’ by Hassan found recognition among the younger generation of Kazakhstan.

“I saw the book ‘Kushti Bala’ for the first time. I am going to read it as soon as possible. I have many favorite poets. For example, Abai Kunanbaiuly, Serikbol Hassan, Zaure Torekhan, Akhmet Baitursynuly and many others,” said school student Ayan Yertai.
