Harmony, friendship, and unity - an award ceremony for the
participants of the first national festival of creative groups of the Assembly
of the People of Kazakhstan was held in Astana. The event was dedicated to the
30th anniversary of the unique institution of unity and interethnic harmony. Twenty-five
winners from various regions of the country received prizes in the categories
of folk dance, folk singing, and folk instruments. Among the top three was the ‘Asyl
Azheler’ ensemble from the Abai region.
«Our grandmas are in a very good mood. Thank you all for
organizing such an event. We have a team of ten grandmas. The oldest is 80, and
the youngest is 50. All of them have grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In
this competition, we sang the song Dedim-Ai Au,» said Karlygash Tlekova, member
of the «Asyl Azheler» creative group.
The youth also took part in the event. The ‘Assambleya
Zhastary’ is the future personnel reserve of the Assembly of the People of
Kazakhstan. Young people actively participate in national and international
competitions.
«Today, many young people are taking the stage, continuing
the glorious traditions of our Kazakh culture. It is very important to us that
this initiative, put forward by the Association of creative groups of the APK, should
be a starting platform for young creative talents,» noted Timur Jumurbayev, Chairman
of the Assambleya Zhastary organization.
