Mangystau region to create natural reserves for preservation of Caspian seal

Three state natural reserves are planned to be created in Mangystau region to preserve the Caspian seal population. According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the region, specially protected areas will be located in the districts of Kenderli, Komsomolsky and Prorva. They stressed that Kazakh Ministry of Ecology is carrying out the necessary work. It bears noting that 40 million tenge was allocated from the regional budget on a special program to tackle the issue of the Caspian Sea. In addition, the Roadmap was developed in this direction last year.
