Kyrgyz Republic issues coin to commemorate fifth World Nomad Games

The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has issued a silver collector coin dedicated to the fifth World Nomad Games, set to be held this autumn in the Kazakh capital. It is made in the original quadrangular shape. The design of the coin titled «At Chabysh», which means horse racing in Kyrgyz, reflects the spirit of this national sport. The obverse side of the coin features two galloping riders against the background of a stylized hippodrome in the form of a horseshoe. According to the National Bank, the coin’s release emphasizes the importance of the World Nomad Games. This sporting event contributes to the preservation and promotion of the regions unique cultural heritage at the international level, as well as serves as a reminder of the rich traditions of nomads.


«At Chabysh» is the fourth coin in this series. The first coin was released in 2016, celebrating the first World Nomad Games held in Cholpon-Ata, a city in the Kyrgyz Republic. This series has become quite popular. Each coin is square-shaped, made from 925 fine silver, and produced to proof qualitythe highest standard in coin minting. The circulation for each coin is limited to 1,000 pieces, and each comes with a certificate of authenticity that verifies its quality», - said Medina Ashyralieva, head of the cash management department at the Kyrgyz National Bank.
