Kazakhstan is set to sell green
energy to Europe jointly with Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. To this end, the
countries intend to lay a high-voltage cable along the Caspian Sea bed. In
Tashkent, the parties have signed a memorandum of cooperation on
interconnecting the countries’ energy systems. According to the Kazakh Ministry
of Energy, the document envisages that the countries will explore all possibilities
for implementing this project and define the key partnership conditions.
Notably, the basic approaches for implementing the project have already been
agreed upon, the relevant ministry notes.
