Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan strengthen strategic partnership

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. He thanked him for the invitation to the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. Tokayev highlighted the significance of the conference’s outcomes for the development of such countries in general and the Central Asian region in particular. The two leaders also discussed strengthening cooperation in trade, energy, and transit and transport.

Kazakh President visits exhibition pavilions of Central Asian countries

Later, Tokayev and the heads of delegations participating in the conference visited the exhibition pavilions of Central Asian states. Kazakhstan’s display drew particular attention, featuring traditional yurts and a theatrical performance highlighting the country’s national customs. Turkmenistan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and Uzbekistan also showcased their own pavilions.
