Kazakhstan trade pavilion opens in China’s Jiangsu province

Kazakh commodity producers have entered a new market in China with the opening of a multifunctional trade center in Jiangsu province. A pavilion in the center has been dedicated to Kazakh entrepreneurs, mainly food producers, as announced by Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev. Products from 50 Kazakh companies are featured, with sales reaching US$15,000 in just one hour. The center serves as a trading platform for Kazakhstan and opens the way for other Central Asian countries. Kazakhstan and China are also discussing the possibility of launching a similar multifunctional center in Astana.

«Jiangsu province is our third regional trading partner after Beijing and the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. We have great potential to expand and deepen trade and economic cooperation. In the first seven months of this year, trade turnover with this province exceeded US$1.7 billion,» Shakkaliyev said.
