Six million Kazakh residents will have the opportunity to get vaccinated against coronavirus within the next three months. This represents 64 percent of the population who have to be vaccinated, Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin announced at a government meeting. He underlined that it is planned to provide a vaccine to 10 million Kazakh citizens by September. And then it is expected to reach the cumulative social effect of herd immunity, Mamin added. He also said that the healthcare system is now fully equipped with the necessary drugs and medical supplies. In addition, mobile vaccination centers will be established in crowded places.
“Our main task now is to stabilize the sanitary and epidemiological situation and to increase the number of people being vaccinated. Specific work is underway. The ministry has drawn up a new vaccination plan. In April, May and June, regions of the country will vaccinate two million people per month,” said Askar Mamin, Kazakh Prime Minister.
