1,450 new COVID cases have been registered in Kazakhstan over the past day. Most of the infected were detected in Almaty - 589, the Kazakh capital follows with 502 infected people. 69 cases were recorded in Almaty region. According to the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 1,319,000 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID infection have been reported in the country. Now, more than 9,500 Kazakh residents continue to receive treatment for coronavirus, including 962 in hospitals. Vaccination campaign is well underway in the country. According to the latest data, more than 9,321,000 people received both components of the vaccine. More than 4,920,000 people have received their booster shots.
