It will now be possible to issue a passport or an ID through the terminals, which will be installed in public service centers. This will simplify the process of identifying a person from the photographs available in the database, according to the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.
“If the project is successfully implemented, citizens will be able to independently apply for identification documents through the terminal. They will be able to take a picture, enter their personal data, and pay the state duty for documents all in one place. After that, they will have to contact the migration service officer to complete the documentation procedure,” the agency stated.
It is expected that the pilot project will be launched in the capital of Kazakhstan.
