Kazakhstan to launch enterprises for minerals extraction

Kazakhstan will launch several enterprises for the extraction of minerals. For example, a plant for extracting 600,000 tonnes of ore and producing 5,500 tonnes of copper cathode a year will begin to operate at the Berkara deposit in the Abai region by the end of 2023. There are also plans to set up a coal desorption and electrolysis facility for the metallurgical plant at the region’s Suzdal deposit. In addition, a large gas mine will be commissioned at the Rozhkovskoye field in the West Kazakhstan region by the end of this year. The potential production output is up to one billion cubic meters of gas per year. The raw material will be supplied to a gas processing plant whereafter the received volumes will be delivered to the domestic market.
