Kazakhstan to enter into road transportation agreements with foreign countries

Kazakhstan is in the process of negotiating intergovernmental agreements in the field of road transportation with foreign countries, including Denmark, Macedonia, Portugal, and the UAE, according to the Kazakh Ministry of Transport. It bears noting that cooperation with the UAE will provide domestic carriers with access to the ports of the Persian Gulf, facilitating entry into the markets of India, Pakistan, and other states. Additionally, the ministry stated that there are plans to attract major international operators to Kazakhstan, create favorable conditions for the acquisition of vehicles, and foster the development of domestic semi-trailer truck production. These measures aim to double the fleet of vehicles in the country. Furthermore, an automated system for issuing foreign permits will be introduced as well.
