Kazakh company commences
construction of a container terminal in the Poti Sea Port, the largest port in
Georgia. According to the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure
Development, the modern infrastructure facility along the Black Sea coast will allow
increasing the volumes of cargo transportation on the Trans-Caspian International
Transport Route and will become a focal point of the Middle Corridor. The
multimodal terminal, which will be located on an area of eight hectares and
have a capacity of 80,000 containers per year, is planned to be commissioned in
2024.
