Kazakhstan to become global leader in ferroalloys after launching three plants

Pavlodar region attracted over 1 trillion tenge in investments last year, setting a new record. Governor Assain Baikhanov reported this to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The region’s GRP also grew by 5.8%. The Head of State was also briefed on the implementation of two major projects: the processing of gold-containing concentrate and ferroalloy production. A total of three such plants are planned for construction in Ekibastuz. Their launch will position Kazakhstan as the world’s second-largest ferroalloy producer. President Tokayev emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to attract investment and ensuring the successful implementation of the «Comfortable School» national project.

«Additionally, the President was briefed on the progress of his directives regarding the construction of a new bridge across the Irtysh River, the reconstruction of the airport, and the expansion of Ekibastuz GRES-1’s capacity,» Baikhanov said.
