Philosophers, writers, researchers, intellectuals and scientists from Kazakhstan, France and Germany took part in the “Night of Ideas”, addressing issues on sustainable development of urban space, development prospects in green economy and environmental protection. The event that brought together hundreds of experts was held not only in Kazakhstan, but also in more than 100 countries. The French event annually serves as a platform for exchanging experience, debates and discussions of relevant problems and issues. This year, the meeting organized by French offices in countries is held for the sixth time. However, this is for the first time online. An extensive program of discussions is carried out in French, English and Russian languages and touches upon the most important and relevant issues on the planet. Among them are topics of environmental balance and relations between human and world, issues of urban studies, biological diversity and artificial intelligence.
“There are more and more participants every year. We invited experts on urban studies, architects as well as specialists in the field of nature and environmental protection to this event. As you said, this is actually a relevant topic not only for France, but also for Kazakhstan and for Germany,” said Alex Bortolan, Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Action, French Embassy in Kazakhstan.
