Kazakhstan significantly increases livestock exports

In the first quarter of this year, Kazakhstan exported 249,000 head of livestock, four times more than during the same period in 2024. The most notable growth was seen in horse exports, which increased more than twelvefold to approximately 6,500 head. Cattle exports rose by 2.6 times. The main export destinations remain Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan. Additionally, 8,500 head of sheep were exported. As for poultry, exports between January and March increased nearly fivefold, reaching 190,000 head compared to the same period last year. At the same time, imports of livestock and poultry also rose - by 23%, totaling 2.5 million head.
