Kazakhstan is set
to enhance control over shared construction projects. The corresponding
proposals have already been sent to the government, as noted by the country’s
Minister of Industry and Construction Kanat Sharlapayev. They are primarily
aimed at enhancing transparency in the industry, as well as to support and
protect the rights of Kazakh citizens purchasing housing. Additionally, special
attention will be paid to improving the financial literacy of the population in
the housing and utilities sector.
“We are lowering
the entry thresholds for state mechanisms for shared construction. This should
serve as both an incentive and a regulatory measure, So, while there are
restrictions in the form of penalties in place, we are simultaneously lowering
the experience thresholds for citizens, making the shared construction
insurance system more available for people,” Sharlapayev said.
