An e-commerce school for small and medium-sized businesses will open in Kazakhstan. The SmartDuken platform will help entrepreneurs to develop and scale up their businesses. It includes free support measures such as educational courses and webinars, new IT tools for efficient business management and other types of assistance. This was announced during an online session at the international conference Astana Finance Days. The potential for e-commerce in the country is huge, participants say. Thus, since the beginning of last year, the volume of the retail e-commerce market in Kazakhstan has increased by 93 percent compared to the same period in 2019, and reached 382 billion tenge (US$896.7 million). The average check in tenge increased by 63 percent, and the volume of transactions increased by 18 percent.
