Kazakhstan’s passport climbs up in global index

Kazakhstan’s passport provides visa-free access to 77 countries, as it has improved its positions in the 2023 Henley Passport Index. The Kazakh passport climbed two spots up from the 68th to 66th place. The country has recently reached the agreements on visa-free travel with Djibouti, China, Indonesia and Suriname. The index is based on the data of the International Air Transport Association. Singapore took the top spot, as its citizens can visit 193 countries visa-free. Germany, Italy and Spain went up to the second place, offering their residents access to 190 states. Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, France, Sweden, South Korea and Japan are tied for the third position. Holders of passports of these countries can travel without a visa to 189 countries.
