The production volume in Kazakhstan's machine-building
sector has surpassed 4.5 trillion tenge, with a growth rate of 10% last year
and more than 17% by the end of the first quarter of 2025. Over the past five
years, the sector's share of the country’s manufacturing industry has increased
by 6%. The achievements of the industry leaders were presented to Prime
Minister Olzhas Bektenov during the 12th sectoral forum. He delivered a welcome
address to participants on behalf of the Head of State. The President noted
that Kazakhstan’s machine-building sector is poised to fully realize its
potential and provide a new impetus for the prosperity of the national economy.
«To further develop the machine-building industry, it is
essential to increase the share of local production and widely implement
advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence. Additionally, it is
crucial to create comfortable and safe working conditions for employees, focus
on the training of skilled specialists, and support their professional
development. Amid economic volatility, new opportunities are emerging for the
growth of promising industries and sectors,» Bektenov said.
At the 6th international specialized exhibition of Machinery
Industry and Metalworking, the Prime Minister familiarized himself with
developments from both Kazakh and foreign manufacturers. Industry companies
from over 20 countries participated, including major enterprises from Germany,
South Korea, China, Switzerland, Russia, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
