Kazakhstan’s air force fleet expands with modern aircraft

Kazakhstan has expanded its air force fleet with the addition of an A-400M military transport aircraft delivered from Spain. As one of the most advanced in its class, it will significantly enhance the mobility of the country’s air defense forces. Designed to transport personnel, heavy cargo, and equipment, it can also perform humanitarian missions. The A-400M features a payload capacity of 37 tonnes, a maximum speed of 802 km/h, a flight altitude of 12,200 meters, and a range of up to 8,000 kilometers. In addition, it is capable of taking off from unprepared airfields. Kazakhstan has acquired two A-400M aircraft, with the second scheduled for delivery in 2026. The flight and technical crews have already undergone training in operating and maintaining this aviation equipment.

«The Kazakh army has been reinforced with a new aircraft today. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed to equip the army with modern technology and armament. We are conducting systematic work in this direction,» noted Kazakh Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
