Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex attracts 616 billion tenge since start of year

A total of 616 billion tenge in investments have been attracted to Kazakhstan’s agro-industrial complex since the beginning of the year. The Ministry of Agriculture has summed up the sector’s development results for the first half of the year. The funds were distributed as follows: around 443 billion tenge went to agriculture and fisheries, over 104 billion to food production, and about 70 billion to beverage production. The areas that attracted the most investment include Shymkent and Almaty, along with the Aktobe and North Kazakhstan regions. The Ministry aims to attract more than two trillion tenge in total investments into the sector. Under the Roadmap until 2027, Kazakhstan plans to implement 683 investment projects worth nearly 3.5 trillion tenge. Over 50 of them have already been commissioned - in the Turkistan, Almaty, and Kostanai regions.
