Kazakhstan reports 1,257 new COVID-19 cases in 24 hours

1,257 people were infected with coronavirus in Kazakhstan in the past day. The highest number of 353 cases was registered in Nur-Sultan, followed by the city of Almaty with 349 and Almaty region with 115. According to Kazakh Health Ministry, the country has recorded a total of over 1,313,000 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic. Currently, almost 5,500 Kazakh residents continue to receive treatment for coronavirus, 588 out of which are in hospitals. Speaking of vaccination rates, the latest data shows that more than 9,318,000 people have been vaccinated with both components. Over 4,894,000 residents received a booster shot.
