Kazakhstan’s achievements, including advancements
in electronic and financial services, cross-border trade, and fostering a favorable
investment climate, were showcased by the country’s delegation at the seventh
China International Import Expo in Shanghai. Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas
Bektenov participated in the opening ceremony alongside his counterparts from
China, Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, and Serbia. At the exhibition, Kazakhstan
featured two pavilions. The National Pavilion «New Era, Common Future»
displayed startups of domestic developers, while the commercial pavilion hosted
online sales by 50 Kazakh producers. In the first few hours of sales alone,
businesses earned $22,000. It bears noting that Kazakhstan’s pavilion was
doubled in size this year. The international exhibition attracts over 300,000
Chinese buyers annually.
«The China International Import Expo is a
unique platform for us, and we are confident that our producers will fully
showcase their potential and present their products, and this will give a new
impetus to deepening and establishing cooperation with Chinese partners. We
have brought over 50 Kazakh companies, offering a range of products including
oil and fat, beverages, honey, textiles, and meat products,» noted Arman
Shakkaliyev, Kazakh Minister of Trade and Integration.
