The Bureau of the Central Asian Higher Education Area will be established in Kazakhstan. Its mission is to promote the Bologna reforms in the region. Such a decision was made at the conference of rectors of Central Asian universities with the participation of representatives of the Bologna Follow-Up Group in Astana. The aim is to create a free zone for students and lecturers to move freely, learn and exchange knowledge. It bears noting that this year, as part of the scholarship program, Kazakhstan issued 186 grants to citizens of the Central Asian states.
“We now have the opportunity to enhance the human potential of our universities thanks to our colleagues who are interested in having a stable place to continue their research and teaching activities,” said Sayasat Nurbek, Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education.
