Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan intend to increase bilateral trade to US$2 billion

Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan plan to increase the trade turnover to US$2 billion. In order to increase mutual trade, the parties intend to expand the product range by 190 positions, as well as to accelerate the implementation of the project to create industrial trade and logistics complexes in the area of the Karasu-Aktilek checkpoint. In addition, they are willing to deepen cooperation in the areas of transit and transport, water and energy balance and investment.

“We continue to actively work on improving investment and trade policy. Favorable conditions are being created for doing business and ensuring the protection of the entrepreneurs’ and investors’ rights,” said Dastan Dyushekeyev, the Kyrgyz Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
