Kazakhstan and Iran intend to
increase their trade turnover to $3 billion. Last year, the figure amounted to
$528 million. Kazakhstan is ready to export 75 commodity items to the Iranian
market worth around $250 million to further boost mutual trade volumes. In
addition to traditional exports of grains and oilseeds, Kazakhstan is keen on
supplying meat products as well. In turn, Iranian enterprises can establish
deliveries of fish and dairy products, honey, fruits and vegetables, greens,
dried fruits, and other food products. It is worth noting that the two
countries are successfully developing interstate relations not only in trade
but also in agriculture, logistics, energy, healthcare, education, and tourism.
The parties also plan to expand transport and logistics cooperation in the
future, particularly focusing on the development of the International
North-South Transport Corridor. The Caspian hub could become a key link in this
direction.
