Kazakhstan plans to extend the work of all special economic zones (SEZs) until 2049. A single operational period is set to enhance the long-term investment attractiveness of the SEZs and create stable conditions for the development of businesses within them, according to the government.
Additionally, the country is currently refining the operations of its special economic and industrial zones to ensure broad access to infrastructure for production facilities. Starting from January 1, preferences for SEZ participants will be allocated in a differentiated manner based on the investment level, with the principle «the more the investment, the greater the benefits.» This approach aims to attract capital-intensive innovative enterprises with high added value.
