Kazakhstan is improving methods of treating diabetes and obesity. The Ministry of Health signed a memorandum of understanding with the world’s leading pharmaceutical manufacturer from Denmark. The parties aim at developing bilateral cooperation. For example, they intend to support the domestic production of medicines, as well as strengthen training through educational projects in the field of diabetes and obesity. The cooperation will also improve the quality of patient care. In particular, it will provide early access to innovative methods of therapy. The company also intends to explore the possibility of supplying an active pharmaceutical ingredient to Kazakhstan’s market. This will allow for organizing the production of insulin at domestic enterprises in the future.
