Kazakhstan introduces a restriction on the export of grain and flour until June 15. The document was sent for state registration, reported Kazakh Ministry of Agriculture. After the order is put into effect, grain and flour delivery will be carried out strictly within the approved volumes. Thus, the quota for wheat and meslin is one million tonnes, and for flour – 300,000 tonnes. The relevant department explained that the quotas are being introduced to prevent shortages in the domestic market and occupy the country’s flour mills. Previously, the ministry reported that there is no shortage of grain in Kazakhstan. The country annually produces three million tonnes of flour, about half of this volume gets exported.
