Kazakhstan harvests 75% of grain

Around 13 million hectares of fields, or 75 percent of grain crops, were harvested in Kazakhstan, as announced at the operational headquarters for the harvesting campaign. Overall, over 20 million tonnes of grain have been threshed to date. Almost 3.5 million tonnes have been delivered to elevators, including about 2.5 million tonnes of wheat. Nearly 95 percent of the received barley is of the second grade. The Food Contract Corporation has been instructed to announce the forward purchase price for this grain as soon as possible. Additionally, oilseeds, vegetables, melons, gourds, and potatoes have also been harvested. Notably, the preferential financing for spring fieldwork and harvesting has reached 580 billion tenge, nearly three times more than in previous years. The grain harvest is expected to be completed by the end of October, followed by the harvesting of oilseeds.
